Friends of Brazil,
 |
Thank you for visiting our webpage. It's great to see that
you are interested in knowing more about our organization.
For over 26 years the Brazilian Day festival's main purpose
has been to gather people and celebrate the music, dance,
food and pride of
the
Brazilian community.
|
Today we can say that we have succeeded in gathering our
friends and neighbors, not just from the New York area, but
also from across the globe, to celebrate the beauty of our
culture. Directly above, you will find the main links of
this web site, providing options to make your Brazilian day
more meaningful and unforgettable. We urge you to visit all
the pages, so that you can learn about all the aspects that
make Brazilian Day. We would like to thank you in advance
for your participation and support in this great festival
that is organized exclusively for you.
As we celebrate our 26th anniversary this year we will once
again feature well known celebrity musicians and artists
from Brazil. Because we want to make sure that you have
fun and enjoy a great party, we are also working very hard
to leave no details out, specially stressing our concerns
with safety. Once again, our goal is to focus on every
detail so that the Brazilian spirit will live on in your
memory for years to come.
For this year's event, we already have confirmed several
major names in Brazilian music. These artists, and their show productions, will
make a spectacular party on the stage of the Brazilian Day
festival. New York City shows our concern in putting together such a huge event,
and all this totally for you. So this is your opportunity to
put on your green and yellow colors and learn about our
fascinating culture.
Alongside TV Globo International, our partner in this
mega-event, we are working hard so that this party continues
to be among the biggest and most respected ethnical
festivals of the Big Apple. The Brazilian Day staff wants to
pay attention to every single detail so that you, your
family, your neighbors and your friends can join us in a
great moment of commemoration.
Because we are expecting such a large number of participants
from other US states and other countries, we advise you to
make plans well in advance so there are no last minute
surprises.
We are available full time to answer any questions and
provide you with any information you might need in order to
safely participate in the event. This website provides a
great amount of information aimed at helping you to become
familiar with all areas of the festival. Here you can access
the Brazilian Day's calendar, the biography of the
participating artists, as well as obtain information on how
to purchase VIP areas tickets, how to be a volunteer, where
to find hotels, best airfares and even job opportunities.
What's more, you can learn about the history of this event
which is the world's largest Brazilian festival outside of
Brazil.
Please tell your friends about the website so they can, too,
learn how to participate in this wonderful celebration of
the Brazilian community.
We truly hope to see you there, West 46th Street (Little
Brazil), on September 5th, with another incredible festival.
João de Matos
